Nanoleaf will soon let you control your smart lights with ChatGPT and Claude

Nanoleaf is launching its Model Context Protocol (MCP) server today.

It will let users control their smart lights via AI platforms such as ChatGPT and Claude.

Nanoleaf lights will also be able to respond and react to real-time information, such as weather updates.

If you have a lot of smart lights installed around your house, you’re probably used to saying certain commands out loud to get things to work. Phrases like “turn my bedroom lights off” or “dim lights to 50%” are easy enough to remember, but they aren’t the most natural way to speak. Now, Nanoleaf is trying to fix that problem.

The Toronto-based company announced today that it’s launching its MCP server. This will let users connect and control their Nanoleaf smart lights through AI assistants like ChatGPT and Claude.
