Not every great sci-fi show needs to start with a bang, but the best ones know how to grab your attention from the very first frame. Whether it’s a gruesome public execution in the middle of a cultural revolution, a child stepping into a smoke-filled battleground littered with corpses, or an alien organism mutating a host in seconds, the most compelling series understand the power of a great first impression.
