The dream of running GTA V natively on Android just died

TL;DR Take-Two Interactive has issued a cease-and-desist to developer Paralympics Productions, ending their native GTA V Android port project.

The project seemingly relied on leaked source code. The cease-and-desist forces the developers to halt all operations by October 3, 2026, without releasing the code.

With the native ARM build dead, Android users are left with less efficient emulation layers and cloud streaming as their current options for running GTA V (unofficially) on their phones.

The dream of playing Grand Theft Auto V natively and optimized on your Android phone has officially hit a dead end. Following news earlier this month of an unofficial GTA 5 Android port in the works, parent company Take-Two Interactive has stepped in with a cease-and-desist to shut down developer Paralympics Productions just as the mobile release was nearing fruition.
