Google teases the Fitbit Edge, and it looks like it’s nearly here

Google’s slowly starting to overhaul the Fitbit tracker lineup, starting with the screenless Fitbit Air earlier this year.

Leaks have since revealed an upcoming model with a small screen, dubbed the Fitbit Edge.

Now Google is officially sharing some early Edge imagery, while teasing news for this coming Monday.

Wearables aren’t one-size-fits-all, as has become increasingly clear with the proliferation of screenless trackers, including this year’s Fitbit Air. If you find these a little too minimalist, though, yet still don’t need the complexity and power trade-offs of a full-blown smartwatch, a basic screen-equipped tracker might be right up your alley. Lately, we’ve been hearing about Google’s possible plans for a new model like this called the Fitbit Edge, and today we get to check out an official teaser.
