Cyberpunk 2077 is being made into a movie, even though we've already got the perfect cyberpunk movie starring Keanu Reeves as a guy named Johnny

X A Deadline report says Paramount Pictures is working with CD Projekt Red on a live-action movie set in the Cyberpunk 2077 universe, with Lorenzo di Bonaventura, whose previous films include a pile of Transformers movies, a couple GI Joe flicks, and the 2005 Doom movie starring The Rock, attached to produce.

CD Projekt Red co-CEO Michał Nowakowski confirmed the report on X:

There's really no more detail at this point, so instead of talking about that I'm going to take a hard swerve and remind everyone that the perfect cyberpunk movie already exists, and it even stars Johnny Silverhand himself, Keanu Reeves—as another guy named Johnny who's having a rough time in the cyber-future, believe it or not.

It's called Johnny Mnemonic, and folks, it is cinema.
