TL;DR OnePlus has announced that the OnePlus 16 will have a 9,000mAh battery.

This is almost 2,000mAh larger than the OnePlus 15 battery and almost double the capacity of the S26 Ultra battery.

OnePlus previously said the phone will have a Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chip, a 200MP main camera, and a 50MP 3x camera.

The OnePlus 15 may have been a polarizing release for the company, but it still stood out thanks to a 7,300mAh battery. We’ve heard rumors for a while now that the OnePlus 16 could take things even further, and the brand has now made it official.

OnePlus executive Li Jie Louis has revealed on Weibo that the OnePlus 16 will get a 9,000mAh battery. That’s a 1,700mAh boost over the already impressive OnePlus 15 battery.
