VisionQuest Showrunner Terry Matalas Didn't Have to Worry Too Much About the MCU's Bigger Picture — 'We Pretty Much Did Exactly What We Wanted' | NYCC 2026
Marvel's upcoming TV show VisionQuest took one last lap at New York Comic Con 2026 ahead of its release on Disney+ on October 14. As part of Marvel's Television and Animation panel, the cast — Paul Bettany, James Spader, Emily Hampshire, and Ruaridh Mollica — and showrunner Terry Matalas came on stage to greet the crowd before screening the series' first episode for the room.
After the panel, IGN's Jeffrey Vega asked Matalas about the writing process for VisionQuest. How much did the writers have to weave around the bigger picture of the MCU? Turns out, not too much.
