Cyberpunk 2077 Is Celebrating Edgerunners Season 2 With A Surprise Update

As Cyberpunk 2077' s sixth anniversary approaches, developer CD Projekt Red has announced Update 2.5, timed to coincide with the second season of the anime spin-off series, Cyberpunk Edgerunners. The update will include "new items and features" inspired by the second season of the anime, and it'll go live on October 22 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.

"We're talking cyberware customization, a new dual-wielding playstyle, and more," CD Projekt Red wrote in a social media post. Fans can tune in on Wednesday for a livestream preview of Update 2.5 at 8 AM PT / 11 AM ET. Cyberpunk 2 associate game director Pawel Sasko posted that he's "so f***ing hyped" to show people what the studio has been working on, suggesting that there'll be some substantial content to look forward to.

The latest update is just one of several that CD Projekt Red has released since Cyberpunk 2077 first launched. …
