
GTA 5 Made Playable in Browser as AI-Generated Game Chaos Continues
Grand Theft Auto 5 was made playable in a browser before it was pulled offline, amid an explosion of AI-fueled games across the internet.
Footage of GTA 5 running in a browser spread via social media yesterday, though the game's website is now offline — with reports that hosting service Cloudflare stepped in to intervene.
This latest development follows last week's cease and desist sent by Bethesda to block the AI-generated Fallout: New York fan project, which was also made playable via a PC browser. That game had been built by Claude Opus 5.5, and it seems likely that the PC build of GTA 5 was compiled similarly.
