Google Photos’ Wardrobe could soon get a key feature it previously forgot to pack

TL;DR Google Photos could soon let you add new outfits to your virtual Wardrobe.

Currently, it requires you to reset your entire Wardrobe to add new outfits.

Instead, a new plus-shaped button could soon let you easily add new outfits.

Google has long pitched virtual try-on as a viable way to get non-savvy users to use AI. More recently, it added the functionality to Google Photos via the “Wardrobe” feature, letting users blend their actual photos with a virtual copy of outfits they collect on their phone. Earlier in September, Google also included the option to import your own outfits from existing photos and try them virtually against a neutral background, with a more stoic pose. The feature has its quirks, but Google is testing new options to expand it and address some of the limitations.
