Wardogs Streamer Banned for Exploiting the Game's Building Mechanics to Get Rich

A vtuber is at the center of a controversy in the Wardogs community surrounding exploits. The first-person shooter allows players to roleplay as a part of the war effort, taking to the front lines, running logistics in trucks, and building forward-operating bases (FOB) for their allies to control sections of the map.

Everything a player does — from recon to taxi driving their soldiers back into battle — earns them in-game money as a merc, which can then be spent on unlocking equipment and better loadouts. At the end of the season (or whenever the player chooses to trade their ill-gotten merc gains), money left over is converted into gold — a fluctuating economy of premium currency that can be spent on cosmetics.

Streamer KatieRouu was banned from the game for using exploits to take advantage of these systems. The streamer and their friends would place dozens of sniper lookout towers around a FOB and purposely let the enemy team …
