Google’s working on a new look for Gemini Live, and we have a sneak peek for you

Google is testing a new Neural Expressive-inspired design for Gemini Live’s audio visualizer.

The redesign replaces the familiar pill-shaped visualizer with a circular button surrounded by animated dots and a glowing blue background.

The new UI is still in development and has noticeable visual glitches. We don’t know when it might roll out.

Google’s been putting in a lot of effort into making Gemini’s performance feel polished, and its latest test extends that to how Gemini looks — specifically the tool’s conversational Gemini Live assistant. Earlier this month, we gave you an early look at a Gemini Live redesign with a waveform animation and a dedicated button to mute Gemini’s voice responses. However, it now looks like Google could be heading in a different direction.

We’ve just spotted a different Gemini Live redesign, and this one does away with the familiar pill-shaped audio visualizer.
